Lets take cannabis apart
Lets take a look at the many compounds within cannabis, and there are many more than you probably realize, as mostly people talk about THC and CBD. Some of these are brought out through the heating or ageing process.
CBD – Cannabidiol
Reduces psychoactivity and can assist with Schizophrenia and seizures.
CBC – Cannabichromene
Evidence shows it has anti inflammatory and anto-viral properties. Along with CBD is has anti-depressant qualities.
CBGA – Cannabigerolic Acid
Is an acid precursor for producing THCA, CBDA and CBCA by enzyme production. Has neuroprotective elements. Research has been done showing it might slow down certain cancers, as well as having potential for being an antidepressent, psoriasis treatment and analgesic.
D9-THC – Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol
It is the primary psychoactive ingredient and along with CBD is the most abundant ingredient. It has behavioral effects and can reduce nausea and stimulate appetite.
D8-THC – Delta-8-Tetrahydrocannabinol
Has lower psychoactive properties. Shows potential to slow and reduce cancer growth. Has anti nausea properties.
THCA-C4 – Tetrahydrocannabinol
This is a compound of THC showing anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic properties as well as potential to inhibit cancer cell growth.
CBLA – Cannabicyclol
It is a non-pcychoactive and is found in small doses in the marijuana plant. It hasnt been studied much but is thought to have cell inhibiting properties.
CBN – Cannabinol
Found in trace amounts. Formed from ageing THC. Has psychoactive properties although much less than THC. Can reduce anxiety and help prevent high THC levels from causing it. Is a strong relaxant and can promote sleep.
Linalool – A major terpene
Serves to deliver aroma and taste.Also has analgesic properties. Can relieve depression, seizures, inflammation and insomnia.
Myrcene – A synergistic terpene
Has many benefits including being a relaxant, analgesic, anti-depressant and anti-inflammatory. Also has antimicrobial properties.
